Look at the price last. Come up with a list of photographers who provide what you want - style, service etc and then list the packages & price.
If you are simply shopping by price hope for the best but expect the worst. Ask guests to take lots of photos just in case...

If you are a bargain hunter for your wedding I have some advise - PRAY!!
Seriously ask Jesus to guide you as there are many, many possible problems! Choosing by price is not wise for wedding photography. Find what you want first & then worry about price - you only get one chance!
Under $1500 In the lower end of photography pricing you are dealing with people who often:
-are untrained -are inexperienced -are rude -get poor results -have to do lots of post editing -use low quality equipment -don't have backups -can not deal with unexpected happenings -break bookings close to the date leaving you stranded
Unfortunately I hear many horror stories & really hope there are no more - but there will be - please don't become the next! I would avoid this category at all costs.
$1500 - $4000 In this range you will get a mixture of photographers - some good & others not so good. Towards the higher end of this range you will find the higher quality but more reasonably priced photography packages.
Above $4000 the price above $4000 is normally due to larger offerings in packages - ie more expensive albums, larger enlargements, canvas prints etc. It does not always mean you are getting a more talented photographer so be careful!
